Cedric, geboren ca. 11/2024, kastriert, ca. 45 cm Schulterhöhe, im Shelter seit 01/2025

Cedric ist ein junger, aktiver und freundlicher Hund, der grundsätzlich sehr menschenbezogen ist und Nähe und Aufmerksamkeit liebt. Im Shelter steht er allerdings aktuell stark unter Stress: In seinem Zwinger hat er den ganzen Tag in hohen Tönen gekläfft, weil ihn die Situation und die vielen Hunde um ihn herum enorm verunsichern. Deshalb wurde er aus dem Zwinger geholt, damit er erstmal zur Ruhe kommen und besser lernen kann.

Man merkt, dass Cedric eigentlich kein „schwieriger“ Hund ist – im Gegenteil: Er sucht den Kontakt zum Menschen und möchte gefallen. Im Umgang mit den vielen Hunden reagiert er teilweise unsicher und bellt dann, um sich Abstand zu verschaffen. Das ist eher Überforderung als „schlechtes Verhalten“. Wir sind überzeugt, dass Cedric in einem passenden Zuhause mit Ruhe, klarer Struktur und etwas Training schnell entspannen und sich als unkomplizierter Begleiter zeigen wird.

Wir wünschen uns für ihn ein liebevolles und geduldiges Zuhause, in dem man ihm mit Ruhe, Fairness und Einfühlungsvermögen die Grundlagen eines erfüllten Hundelebens vermittelt.

• Befindet sich aktuell in Rumänien und darf ausreisen, wenn er ein Zuhause gefunden hat.
• Reist gechipt und geimpft (EU Impfpass; Impfungen: Tollwut und Grundimmunisierung).
• Alle Hunde werden bei ihrer Ankunft im Shelter sowie anschließend mindestens einmal jährlich gegen Darmparasiten und Ektoparasiten behandelt.
• Die geschilderten Verhaltensbeobachtungen basieren auf dem Alltag im Shelter und können sich in einem häuslichen Umfeld unter veränderten Lebensbedingungen entsprechend anders darstellen.
• Der Transport (angemeldet mit Traces) wird von uns, so weit es für das Bestimmungsland rechtlich möglich ist, organisiert und durchgeführt. Bitte beachten Sie die Informationen auf dieser Seite: Vermittlung und Transport

Cedric is a young, active, and friendly dog who is generally very people-oriented and loves affection and attention. However, he is currently under a lot of stress at the shelter: he has been barking loudly all day in his kennel because the situation and the many dogs around him are making him extremely insecure. Therefore, he was moved from the kennel so he can calm down and learn more effectively.

It's clear that Cedric isn't actually a "difficult" dog – quite the opposite: he seeks human contact and wants to please. He sometimes reacts insecurely around the many other dogs and barks to create distance. This is more a sign of being overwhelmed than "bad behavior." We are convinced that in a suitable home with peace and quiet, clear structure, and some training, Cedric will quickly relax and prove to be an uncomplicated companion.

We wish for him a loving and patient home where he will be taught the basics of a fulfilling life with calm, fairness, and empathy.

• Is currently still in Romania and may leave when he has found a home.
• Will travel microchipped and vaccinated (EU pet passport; vaccinations include rabies and basic immunization).
• All dogs are treated for intestinal parasites and ectoparasites upon arrival at the shelter and at least once a year thereafter.
• The described behavioral observations are based on daily life in the shelter and may differ in a home environment under changed living conditions.
